By accessing our website or submitting a buyer requirement form, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect information in two ways — directly from you and automatically through site usage.

From buyers (requirement form)

• Full name and designation
• Company or organization name
• Contact number and email address
• State and city of the project location
• Project type, capacity requirement, and budget range
• Any additional details submitted in the requirement description

From sellers (listing registration)

• Business name, GST number, and registration details
• Authorized contact person name and designation
• Business email, phone number, and operational address
• Product/service categories, plant capacity range, and service regions
• Supporting documents submitted for verification

Automatically collected

• IP address, browser type, and device information
• Pages visited, time spent, and clickstream data
• Cookies and session identifiers

3. How we use your information

• To process and match buyer requirements with relevant verified sellers
• To share buyer lead details with sellers who match the stated requirement criteria
• To verify seller credentials and maintain the integrity of seller listings
• To send transactional communications — lead notifications, inquiry confirmations, and status updates
• To send platform-related announcements, new feature updates, or policy changes
• To analyse site usage and improve platform performance and user experience
• To comply with applicable Indian laws and regulatory requirements

5. Third-party service providers

We engage trusted third-party vendors solely to operate the platform. These providers access your data only as necessary to perform their services.

• Cloud hosting and server infrastructure providers
• Email and SMS communication services (for lead alerts and confirmations)
• Analytics tools to measure site performance (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Payment processors for seller subscription or listing fees, if applicable

We do not authorise these providers to use your data for their own marketing or independent purposes.

• Access to buyer lead data within our systems is restricted to authorised personnel only
• We conduct periodic security reviews of our infrastructure and third-party integrations
• Despite these measures, no internet transmission is completely secure. We encourage users not to submit sensitive financial or personally sensitive information through the requirement form

8. Data retention

• Buyer requirement data is retained for a period of 12 months from the date of submission, after which it is archived or deleted
• Seller listing data is retained for the duration of the active listing period and up to 6 months after expiry or account closure
• Usage and analytics data may be retained in aggregated, anonymised form indefinitely
• You may request earlier deletion of your data by writing to us (see Section 10)

9. Data localisation and jurisdiction

• BiogasMart operates exclusively within India and all data is stored on servers located in India
• This policy is governed by the provisions of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and applicable rules framed thereunder
• We do not transfer personal data outside India without appropriate safeguards

10. Your rights as a data principal

Under the DPDPA 2023, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:

• Right to access — request a summary of personal data held about you
• Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data, subject to our legal retention obligations
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw consent for data processing where processing is consent-based; withdrawal will not affect prior processing
• Right to grievance redressal — raise a complaint with our designated Data Protection Officer

11. Minors

Our platform is intended for business-to-business use and is not directed at individuals below the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that such data has been submitted, it will be deleted promptly.
